Customizable Configuration

The Qmix Lambda spectrometer module combines a high-quality online spectrometer for VIS and NIR applications with a flow-measuring cell (z-cell) in a Qmix-compatible housing. This spectrometer can be adapted to different wavelength ranges from 200 to 1100 nm. An external light source can be connected using a SMA 905 connector.

The module offers a complete spectral analysis with very little scattered light interference and a high signal-to-noise ratio on an extremely small footprint. Despite its compact dimensions, the optical resolution, stability and sensitivity of this spectrometer are comparable or even superior to the performance provided by larger and more expensive devices.

The module features a flow-measurement cell (z-cell) of variable length to enable an adaptation to media of different optical density. The measurement cell works in any flow direction, making it possible to use both connectors as intakes or outlets.

Simply plug it in, set it up and start working

Due to their housings and our standard neMESYS interface, Qmix spectrometer modules are compatible with all other neMESYS and Qmix modules. Therefore, you can simply and easily extend your existing neMESYS dosing system or your existing Qmix flow chemistry system with online spectral recording and analysis capabilities. Simply plug one or several spectrometer modules into an existing system or connect the modules to your system using our interconnect cable, available in our accessories section. Add the modules to your software configuration using the QmixElements device configurator and start recording spectral data.

The QmixElements spectroscopy plugin is our solution for an optimal integration of Qmix Lambda spectrometer modules into the QmixElements software suite. This software lets you set parameters, such as integration time, filters, baseline correction, etc.). The integrated peak-detection feature automatically marks identified peaks in the spectrum. Recorded spectrums can be exported as images or in the form of many other file formats, such as Excel-compatible CSV files.

Like all other CETONI devices, Qmix Lambda spectrometer modules can be integrated into the QmixElements scripting system, using the respective script functions. This lets you automate the recording of spectral data, synchronize them with other devices or processes or trigger spectral recording in case of certain events. Simply drag and drop the spectroscopy function into your program and configure all of the necessary parameters using the graphical interface – and your automatic script-recording system is ready to go.

The spectroscopy plugin contains a selection of analysis functions for online-analysis of recorded spectrums. You can create any number of analysis channels for each spectrometer. As an example, the integration function lets you calculate the intensity across the entire bandwidth of a spectrum, while simultaneously determining intensity at different wavelengths.

For each analysis a new analysis channel will be created in the I/O channel list. This channel works like a regular, analog input channel and you can use it and read it like any other analog input in the software and the script system.

Sophisticated chemometric analyses - online and in real time

The new Chemometrics Add-On, powered by Analyze IQ technology, brings sophisticated chemometric capabilities to the QmixElements software. Analyze IQ technology allows accurate analysis of spectroscopic data in realm time. Analyze IQ Lab software allows you to quickly and reliably create, evaluate and refine sophisticated models.

These models can then be imported into the QmixElements software for real-time analysis of recorded spectroscopy data. You simply create a chemometric analysis channel, assign an analysis model to the channel and then immediately have an analysis channel that continuously analyzes the recorded spectra. This allows you to detect the presence of a substance or its concentration in a mixture in real time, record it or react to it in the script.

The software consists of a core that provides the basic features and services, such as the application window, the event log or the tool bar.

OceanView Software

High-end spectroscopy software for real-time spectral recording and analysis

Our QmixLambda modules are compatible with the OceanView software from Ocean Optics. If you do not need to synchronize the spectra recording and analysis with other processes and events in the QmixElements software, this external application is a suitable alternative or addition to the QmixElements Spectroscopy Plugin. The OceanView software is an extremely powerful and comprehensive software package for recording and analyzing spectral data.
