Reaction Module Qmix Q-

Heating and Cooling Glass Chips, Mixers and Micro-Reactors

The Qmix Q- module lets you heat or cool glass chips, mixers or micro-reactors in a temperature range from -10°C to +100°C. The heart of this module is a controlled, thermoelectric peltier element to precisely cool or heat the reactor zone. This makes it possible to cool the reactor zone to 30 Kelvin below room temperature without the need for an external cooling circuit or cold water supply.

To improve the cooling performance, the module can be connected to an external cooling circuit, which will enable you to achieve significantly lower temperatures.

QmixElements Controller Plugin Screenshot

QmixElements Controller Plugin

Manual and Automatic Temperature Control

The QmixElements controller plugin provides a graphical interface for the configuration and visualization of all control circuits in your system. All circuits are laid out clearly, so you can easily activate or deactivate individual controllers or adjust target values. You can change the names of controller channels at any time and thereby adapt them to the requirements of your application or test setup, quickly and easily. Any changes you made remain in effect, even after closing the program.

The script functions of the controller plugin let you modify or adjust the temperature settings of your control circuits through a script, making it possible to create time-controlled temperature curves or cyclical temperature changes quickly and easily.

Create your own PID Controller Channels

For pressure-controlled Dosing and much more

The QmixElements controller plugin supports you in the creation of your own control circuits. Simply select an input value for the controller (e.g. current value of a pressure sensor) and an output value (e.g. target flow rate for a syringe pump) and then configure the PID control parameters – and there you are: your own pressure-based pump control circuit. The graphical real-time display of target value, current value and other control parameters helps you tune controllers for optimum performance.

Recording Control Parameters in Real-Time

Visualize, Analyze, Optimize…

In QmixElements you can record the values of all analog and digital inputs and outputs in the form of curves or CSV-files. This lets you visualize temporal changes of process data live and in real-time. At the same time, this visualization helps you optimize your control circuits. You can configure the recording through drag & drop and save diagrams in various different formats (PNG, JPG, PDF…). Using CSV-files, recorded measurement values can be analyzed or graphically processed conveniently in Excel or any other analysis software of your choice.

QmixElements Software

QmixElements Software

Laboratory automation platform

The QmixElements software is a comprehensive, plugin-based, modular software solution for the control of all cetoni devices via a common graphical user interface. The software consists of a core that provides the basic features and services, such as the application window, the event log or the tool bar.

Qmix SDK Controller Library

Windows 32-bit / 64-bit DLLs

The functions of the controller library make the incorporation of Qmix controller modules (e.g. Qmix Q+ or Qmix Q-) very easy. All functions are supplied through a Windows DLL (32-bit / 64-bit), enabling easy and inexpensive integration into all 32-bit and 64-bit Windows development environments supporting the use of DLLs. These are some of the things you can do with the controller library:

  • Write target values (e.g. target temperature)
  • Read current values (e.g. current pressure)
  • Activate / deactivate control circuits
  • Create dynamic control circuits
  • Set control circuit parameters (e.g. PID-parameters)

Qmix SDK Pump Library LabVIEW VIs

Qmix SDK LabVIEW Kit

Full LabVIEW Integration

The LabVIEW kit lets you launch the control of our tempering and reactor modules from your LabVIEW application immediately. You will get virtual instruments (VIs) to access all of the important device and control circuit parameters. Using analog and digital I/O libraries, you also have direct access to the modules’ input and output channels. This lets you create your own control circuits using the libraries already included in LabVIEW (PID & fuzzy logic toolkit).

  • Clearly laid out grouping and color coding of VIs according to their function
  • Can be used with all other Qmix SDK libraries (pump, valve, motion control...)
  • LabVIEW-conformant troubleshooting
  • Sample VIs for quicker introduction
  • Supports 32 and 64-bit LabVIEW versions

Qmix SDK

Qmix Software Development Kit (SDK)

For integration of cetoni devices into custom applications

The Qmix SDK is a powerful software package that allows developers to integrate their Qmix system and its various modules into their applications. Central to the Qmix SDK are device-specific libraries that provide the programming interface (APIs) for each Qmix module (neMESYS pumps, rotAXYS and neMAXYS positioning systems, Qmix IO, etc.).
