The Qmix Q+ reaction module features two independently controllable heating zones for temperatures of up to 200°C. The first heating zone can be used to heat various glass chips or glass micro-reactors to temperatures of up to 200°C.
Apart from this heatable reactor zone for glass chip, mixers and micro-reactors, this heating module features an additional second heating zone, which is configured as a tube dwell zone of variable length. The dwell zone is designed for the use of flexible tubes (preferably PTFE). This second heating zone is fitted with its own, dedicated heat control circuit, which makes it possible to heat it and control it accurately and independently from the reactor zone.

The Qmix Q+ modules let you expand your existing neMESYS dosing system or your existing Qmix flow chemistry system with reaction modules or create a completely new micro-reaction system in a very simple way. Using the neMESYS interface and neMESYS plug system, multiple reactor modules can be combined and expanded with additional modules, such as pressure measuring or valve modules. In this way you can use our module kit to build your own flow chemistry system.

Manual and Automatic Temperature Control
The QmixElements controller plugin provides a graphical interface for the configuration and visualization of all control circuits in your system. All circuits are laid out clearly, so you can easily activate or deactivate individual controllers or adjust target values. You can change the names of controller channels at any time and thereby adapt them to the requirements of your application or test setup, quickly and easily. Any changes you made remain in effect, even after closing the program.

The QmixElements controller plugin supports you in the creation of your own control circuits. Simply select an input value for the controller (e.g. current value of a pressure sensor) and an output value (e.g. target flow rate for a syringe pump) and then configure the PID control parameters – and there you are: your own pressure-based pump control circuit. The graphical real-time display of target value, current value and other control parameters helps you tune controllers for optimum performance.

Visualize, Analyze, Optimize…
In QmixElements you can record the values of all analog and digital inputs and outputs in the form of curves or CSV-files. This lets you visualize temporal changes of process data live and in real-time. At the same time, this visualization helps you optimize your control circuits. You can configure the recording through drag & drop and save diagrams in various different formats (PNG, JPG, PDF…). Using CSV-files, recorded measurement values can be analyzed or graphically processed conveniently in Excel or any other analysis software of your choice.

Qmix SDK Controller Library

The functions of the controller library make the incorporation of Qmix controller modules (e.g. Qmix Q+ or Qmix Q-) very easy. All functions are supplied through a Windows DLL (32-bit / 64-bit), enabling easy and inexpensive integration into all 32-bit and 64-bit Windows development environments supporting the use of DLLs. These are some of the things you can do with the controller library:
- Write target values (e.g. target temperature)
- Read current values (e.g. current pressure)
- Activate / deactivate control circuits

Qmix SDK LabVIEW Kit
Full LabVIEW Integration
The LabVIEW kit lets you launch the control of our tempering and reactor modules from your LabVIEW application immediately. You will get virtual instruments (VIs) to access all of the important device and control circuit parameters. Using analog and digital I/O libraries, you also have direct access to the modules’ input and output channels. This lets you create your own control circuits using the libraries already included in LabVIEW (PID & fuzzy logic toolkit).
